The Merch Royalty trait upgrades an INK from a static Ordinal into a revenue-aware product reference.
Once unlocked, your INK powers a curated line of physical products inside the official INKs store.
Each product sold is directly linked to the INK ID, creating a measurable connection between on-chain ownership and real-world commerce.
It’s commerce tied to an asset.
HOW IT WORKS
The royalty is recorded at the moment of sale.
It is assigned to the wallet that owns the INK
Royalties accumulate per INK.
Merch royalties are converted into USDC and BTC.
Funds are deposited into a royalty pool wallet.
Balances are distributed during scheduled INKs Halving Party
every 3 months. Royalties are generated only from real product sales.
Royalty handling
For each product sale, the system calculates the real net profit generated.

Retail price: $20
Print-on-demand cost: – $8
Taxes & fees: – $4
Net profit:
$20 − $8 − $4 = $8
From the net profit:
10% ($0.80) is assigned to the INK ID
The remaining amount supports production, operations, and growth.
